The first of Lior's three albums to date arrived back in 2005, since when the Israeli-born artist has been a fixture on the contemporary singer-songwriter scene, not just here in Australia but on the global stage as well, thanks in large measure to his early career tour to the U.K. and the Far East with the WOMAD festival. That debut release, [i]Autumn Gold[/i], became one of the most successful new indie arrivals ever, and showcased exactly why this mellow artist was sure to go places: his pure vocal style sets him up as the kind of friend you feel you've known forever (couple that with his "grow old together" lyric on "This Old Love"), and his arrangements tend to be as warm and comforting as a favourite woolly jumper (check out the harmonies, easy bass, and lush strings on "I'll Forget You").
