Comment:

All around the world, from the grandest cathedral to the humblest country church, in the richest classical work or the simplest folk traditional, the Easter Sunday celebration of Christ's resurrection rises up through the holy sounds of sacred music. It's there in the drama of death and rebirth described in Christian Contemporary superstars NewSong's "Arise My Love," and in the radiant gospel glory of the Edwin Hawkins Singers' "Oh Happy Day." It lives in the pop-rock inspiration of Chris Tomlin's "Let God Arise," and the tapestry of voices lifted in praise that is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." And though Easter Sunday may come but once a year, with our Easter Sunday Service Essentials, its musical expressions can be, like Christian life and love, eternal.
