Comment:

Call this a "guilty pleasures" mix if you must, but my love of putting image to sound is sometimes overwhelming. The majority of these songs underscore a particularly powerful movie moment. My favorite? Debbie Gibson's asinine debacle "Lost In Your Eyes" finds it's beautiful niche via Dawn Wiener's boom-box in Welcome to the Dollhouse.

This looks really cool! I'm going down the list trying to think of the part in the movie where the song comes in. Interesting to see two songs from Last American Virgin represented. That's the most depressing "teen comedy" I've ever seen! Talk about your unhappy endings.

yay! you know about "the last american virgin".!!!..i first saw that movie on USA Up All Nite (this horrible late-nite tv show that was on for teenagers to make-out to in the late 80's)...and i was about 13 and that ending had me depressed for about two weeks...i'd never seen such a sad movie trying to pass as a teen-sex-romp! anyway, whenever i bring this movie up i'm usually met with blank stares and clearing throats...so thank you!

Ha ha ha... my friend had me watch the movie... and indeed, there is a very sad, very honest teen movie going on in between the pre-American Pie American Pie-eqse moments.
