Comment:

When I first found AOTM, I checked out some mixes and didn't recognize 90% of the artists. In fact, I was sure some of them (Death Cab For Cutie?) were made up. I found out that not only did they exist, but they made some pretty cool music too. This mix is dedicated to everyone here who showed me just what I was missing. Gracias.

this is hot--great death cab, yo la tengo, modest mouse, belle and sebastian picks, and "spit on a stranger" is one of my all-time fave songs. nice cover, too.

good stuff, Scott. yes, my horizons have been brilliantly broadened by my visits to AOTM. I was only just saying to Valis the other day how many different types of music had been hitting my ears since Christmas. keep 'em comin'!

...You're rather full o' surprises these days. Back with a vengeance..? Numerous great picks here, I imagine it's well-crafted. (Yes, Gerry WAS saying that to me.) ("Hi!" to Sir Barry.)

Dude! I thought you were married! What's all this talk about scoring with indie chicks?! Anyway, a very fine mix indeed. I've also been introduced to some wonderful artists/music through this wonderful site -- not to mention all the friends I've made here over the last year.

i think it's cute when you mention a band name to someone and they don't believe you because the name is absurd. i'm so glad to see another person turned onto this stuff. this is an excellent introductory mix to indie rock. go you! :)

also, i think you see now why you hadn't heard of most of these until you started trading tapes - that's the way it gets around!
