Comment:

just selected vinyl stuff that caught my eye. some of my old faves are here (dylan, cale and the black tambourine) as well as some stuff that usually doesn't show up on my mixes.

i saw the mix before i scrolled down to make my comment with the intention of saying "nice one" but curtis had bet me to it. and well.."good one" sounds a bit as if i was thinking this was crap, which it wasn't. pleasant one is a bit urgh... perhaps just nice? i don't know. in anycase this is genuinely good!

it's good to represent the aisler's set i suppose. do you prefer them over henry's dress? i would hear your reasons.

i used to give henry's dress the nod over aisler's set, but then i heard the last match. i think amy's more recent work is more textured, sophisticated and mature. i think aisler's set allows her to expand her horizons in ways she couldn't in henry's dress. that's no slam on henry's dress though...they are both two of my favorite bands ever and bust 'em green is an absolute classic.

...filled to the brim with goodness Brandt! (Don't see Aztec Camera too often anymore...) John Cale is a deity in the pantheon....

Caught your eye? Good god, that sounds painful! This mix, on the other hand, is really nice. Good Bee Gees and Tom Waits, especially. You put the FUN in Fundak. But you probably hear that all the time....

Great mix, although, I was expecting a certain Germs song...

I was thinking more Dead Boys than Germs, sport... ("Caught with the Meat in Your Mouth"). ;-)

Looks quite fine sir. I just turned another person (a non-AOTMer) onto Black Tambourine after you turned me on to them over a year ago. The honeymoon was fantastic. Thanks again for making the wedding mix -- can't wait to get it!

I just bought the Black Tambourine album the other day and I love it... although I think I was turned onto it by Markus Schoen's great Indie Mix series.
