Comment:

Whoa. I feel like a stanger here. You'd think that after a gap of nearly two months I'd come back with some sort of major mixing "statement", but alas, here's a basic Fairport comp that draws songs only from the three Sandy Denny albums (What We Did on Our Holidays, the absolutely classic Unhalfbricking, and Liege & Lief). I had initially intended to include songs from their debut and from Full House (both of which I like well enough), thus charting Richard Thompson's tenure with the band, but realized that I don't like anything on either of those two records more than any of the songs listed above. Last track cut: "The Deserter".

what Curtis says. Great to have you back, Rob. You have been missed, my friend. A superduper return. I absolutely love Percy's Song and Who Knows.......

The Fairport version of one of my favorite Dylan songs is perhaps my favorite version of that song. Boy can be anymore cryptic? I'll let others figure out the tune even though there are two Dylan tunes on the mix.

That's my absolute favorite Dylan song, Tom, and I think their version is the best cover version of it, but I like Dylan's original demo on "Biograph" the best.
