Comment:

Who thinks Billy Squier would still be making records if he'd only re-formed Piper? The best way to guarantee mythic status for a tape is to lose it a week after you complete it, only to dicover it six months later. Better still, your favorite cut is one you can't remember the name of or artist, so you turn your whole CD collection inside-out, looking for the Holy Grail. In this case, it was "Turning on Blue", forgetting I'd segued Tommy Keene with Velvet Crush because he was in the touring edition of that band. "Sikorsky" is the man who invented all those lovely helicopters, an icon of mine because he test-flew every one of those contraptions, wearing a pork-pie instead of a crash helmet.
