I'm guessing the Shins track you have titled "Flake Music" is probably on of the tracks off of the Flake Music (the exact Shins line-up before a change of name) album titled "When You Land Here, It's Time to Return." I've seen a lot of confusingly titled mp3s floating around from that album, especailly because many of the tracks on the album are not titled, and it's not very clear which tracks the titles belong to, exactly.

I believe, Mr. Taylor, that there is indeed a Shins track named "Flake Music". I have no clue about mp3s, as I've never downloaded one in my life. Nice series, Dave.

i'm sorry, could you tell me exactly which types of bands the genre "slocore" and "sadcore" encompass? cuz i do wanna know.

its odd -- slocore and sadcore are those slow languid dreamy guitary bands, like red house painters, mojave3, wilco... i mean, its really up to each person.. some people put only real depress-y bands (i.e Red House Painters) in Sadcore, others don't.. i dunno..
