Comment:
Perhaps the most important thing in life is meaningful music. That's why I was appalled to find that no one had already made a Dr. Demento single artist mix. Lots of people call themselves "musical artists" but few actually make music an art. Dr. Demento, however, bends over backwards to bring the populace tasteful, poignant, well-conceived music as art. From the epic opener of, "I'm the Urban Spaceman," to the crushing conclusion of, "On the Shoulders of Freaks," this tape represents a complete, comprehensive look at Demento's discography. My favorite song of his is easily UFO UFO UFO, which can only be found on a 7" on Sympathy for the Music Industry.Feedback:
What?! No "Shaving Cream"?!? Psshaw.
Damn right!!! No "Shaving Cream"..?!!! This mix, it flew out my window, and fell in a barrel of shhhhhhhh.....
And, gee, without "Fish Heads," what's the point?
For shame, Cob, for shame. Everyone knows your fave Demento song is Kip Adotta's "Wet Dream!"
Rob, stop posting mixes under a pseudonym.
