Comment:

The Backstreet Boys — together since 1993, when they were set loose on the world as a five-piece by boy-band mogul Lou Pearlman — cruised comfortably into the later reaches of the '00s as a quartet, with the door left open for Kevin Richardson to reunite the original lineup at some future point. After making a debut splash in the live arena at SeaWorld Orlando, the group got its foothold in showbiz by conquering Europe and Canada. Their 1996 self-titled debut album did massively well on the Continent and paved the way for a glorious return to the U.S., where tracks like "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" and "All I Have to Give" proved their unique blend of sweet balladry and pec-flexing dancefloor skills could take the lusty lads right to the top. Here, we round out the picture, with a selection of classic Backstreet tracks drawn from subsequent albums, from Millennium (1999) to This Is Us (2009).
