Comment:
volume 7. the great debate for me here was whether to include coleman's free jazz or not. but there was room on the CD and the CD only had two tracks to rip (free jazz and the first take of the session) and free jazz definitely makes the cut.Feedback:
Interesting series, Brandt. Since you used that Coleman track, I'll overlook the fact that you only have one Buzzcocks CD ;)
an audit...interesting
any Clash in your collection or are they filed under "the" ;)?
ok..., the smart ass in me says: "go ahead, ask about that Patsy Cline cut..."I Fall to People"? But the nice guy, (who won out here), says: "just shut up about it.")
..and YES....NO CLASH..?!!!!!
i just noticed that i screwed that up valis, and it has been corrected. and yes, I have no Clash records. i'm sorry. i'd like to have a good excuse but there is none. i'll pick up London Calling during lunch...haha...
Hmm. Good idea. This would take me entirely too long to do... and no, I'm not going to jump on what you have and don't have, although I admit the Clash seems essential.
that was one of the purposes of this exercise Rob. the almost violent protest to my owning NO Clash records has shot them to the top of the "must have" list. feel free to point out any other gaping holes in the future...haha.
Okay, then let me suggest that you buy a Gene Clark album as soon as possible. In the meantime, skip London Calling and buy the first album (U.K. edition) instead.
Def Leppard's Comin' Under Fire would just top this off :)
Allen Clapp!?!? '100 % Chance of Rain' is mandatory for anyone with your indiepop tendencies!
I have the Allen Clapp on vinyl...and you're right, it's brilliant.
Really? I have The Orange Peels' "Square," and while I love the music, I really dislike Clapp as a singer and lyricist. Does the vinyl do more justice for him?
