Yeah I know, I know, there's enough U2 single artist mixes on this site already. I'll never understand why this band always seems to get the big screw by everybody yet their releases fly off the shelves. Somebody has to be listening to them. Anyway, this is my 6-Disc tribute I put together for them (I will post it 2 discs at a time). It was done prior to the 1990-2000 Best of release. Not that anyone really cares anyway because after all it is U2 ;)Feedback:
I must not be "hip," because I still like them. Oh well...That "best of" release was so shoddy, I'm sure it inspired a whole bunch o'people to do the same. 6 discs? I hope you include a 40 page, illustrated booklet w/that!
Both their best of releases are crap! The only funny thing with them are the b-sides discs! I still love many of their records, Achtung baby is still a fav record!!! So cruel is a beautiful thing!
Yeah I agree that both Best ofs were pretty much crap, but the 1990-2000 one is absolute garbage, B-Sides disc included. There were so many good B-sides they could have included instead of the inane remixes they stuck on. And what's with the crappy new mixes (Michael Hedges mixes) of songs on the disc! Anyway felt I needed to vent some more. :p
That version of "I Remember You" is gorgeous; I would love to hear the cover of "Lost Highway" on disc 4. Well made; I'm envious.
