Comment:
A two-disc, chronological run through my absurdly overlarge Robyn Hitchcock collection. Can't say I listen to him as much as I used to, making him particularly ripe for a concise anthology. This picks up after the Soft Boys (the subject of a separate mix which I'm planning to update now that they've got a halfway-decent "reunion" album out).
Feedback:
YAY! Long overdue tribute to this generation's Syd Barrett. Great selections everywhere. He always puts on a great show.
Are you not such a fan of "I often dream of trains". I love that record, but perhaps it is overrated.
I like Trains, but was definitely leaning towards more of the poppy, full-band material on this mix. Hence so little Train (not to mention only one track from the similar You & Oblivion and nothing from Eye).
Nice. I'll want to trade for these at some point. As a side note, "I Often Dream of Trains" and "Eye" are far and away my favorite things by him (post-Soft Boys, that is)...
One of my all-time favorite artists! Great mixes.
I'd hardly relate Robyn to Syd Barrett, especially considering Syd hasn't made music for over 30 years or so!
