Comment:
I wanted to name this "I guess that's why I'm working at Initech," but didn't think it was possibly appropriate. This is my first stab at what could be considered a mixer's dream -- permission from ye boss on high to make a mix to be played in a public setting. I work in a college admissions office, so I can take a little more liberty with what is played, but I'm still not sure how my boss will take to it. If nothing else, I know she's out of the office next week. I tried to put in little jabs to the bizzare on here, with the Traffic Jam Mambo from the opening scene of "Office Space," to the torturously happy "Stuck in the Middle With You," and a nod to Kevin Smith with the Goops doing "Buttercup." What I really crave is a kid to recognize something, smile at me knowingly, and have their parents just "accept the music." Maybe it will be a code... or maybe I'm just dreaming. :) Regardless of its purpose, I think it flows pretty well, and I'll enjoy it no matter if it gets put on our very expensive but still shoddy (how does that wind up happening, anyway?) sound system. The final title came from the fact that, if this mix is played, it will be only in the back of people's heads, as white noise. But maybe it'll do something there...
Feedback:
ooooohhh. I love it. Muzak be damned, fill your office with great music.
Sounds damn sweet. I heart guster.
