Well, we all got started somewhere...(I was in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, the end of elementary school, in 1994, 1995, and 1996 respectively.)

I used to know every single word to Mmm Mmm Mmm. I still have the cassette single that I bought at Walmart. I just can't give it up. The memories of Jr. High are flowing thanks to this. "Cool Beans" (my jr. high saying).

Funny thing is, this much more closely resembles what I listen to now than the stuff I listened to in Jr. High (mostly pop punk...my favorite band was mxpx). Interesting.

Oh, this is totally bringing me down memory lane--I was about the same age as you when these songs were out--I guess about a year younger--but anyway, this is all so classic. What a time it was. :)
