Comment:

For my friend Nate to thank him for the mix he made for me recently. I'm not really all that sure of Nate's tastes but I know he used to be in a hardcore band yet also loves K Records. I also know he loves Atom and his Package (so much so that he once broke up with a girl because she didn't dig the Atom). This mix has little or nothing yet everything to do with punk. The last few songs work a lot better than I thought and are quite appropriate. Cultural commentary, if you will. Title comes from the Beulah song.

I love that harvey danger song, although it seems a bit out of place with the likes of sleater-kinney and the clash. mmmm. (I love beulah and smog though!)

Truth be told, I think Harvey Danger's second album, "King James Version," is right up there with the best of what's coming out of the Northwest scene. Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard is even singing backup on one track.

Great mix. I love the Plastic Bertrand track, and the back to back Distillers and Bikini Kill tracks.
