The music of Dwight Yoakam does something to me. I can't explain it. Especially "Little Sister"--he does this hiccuping thing and I just melt. It's kind of sick.Feedback:
Hey, he's OK in my book. He's one of the very few in country music who still gets airplay on country radio, and is cool enough for the rock guys to listen to. The Bakersfield sound, I guess.
No explanation needed. Buying "Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc." on cassette was a significant event for me. It was the first time I had actually ventured into the country section of a record store. What had started with Jason & The Scorchers and Lone Justice eventually moved on to Dwight Yoakam and Steve Earle, at which point, things exploded exponentially.
