Comment:
It might not be easy to tell by the list of bands and songs, but this is actually a mix GONE TERRIBLY WRONG. I was using this experiment I started recently when mixing CDs for Cole ("Barely Breathing") and Carla Berkun ("I'm Sorry and You Know It") where I first load a group of songs I want onto Windows Media Player, and then I figure out the song order and throw in replacements if necessary... well I started doing that again for a mix for my friend Meaghan, but found that I was pretty much trying to throw three tones together... 60's throwback, quiet stuff and weirder rockier stuff. The loud/quiet dynamic is totally off, especailly how the album gets going loud (Tracks 2-4) and then quiets down, almost grinding to a halt. By the time I put the French Kicks in there, who were COMPLETELY out of place, I decided to abandon this one before even burning it and just starting over from scratch... I think I'll dedicate myself to making at least two seperate CDs for Meaghan so that I can establish a discernable tone on each. Maybe make one the party album and the other the chill album...Feedback:
Whatever you end up doing...i like the enon song...i saw them play last night and they put on a great show!
I agree, D.O.A. (next time, hold on the Electric Soft Parade).
my mix was more about what songs i would need.. not really to fit the mood.. but i had just finished the books and i was thinking.. man if this happened i better have a mix cd ready
