Comment:

Following on from the raucousness of Mood #5, this goes the mellow route. It's strange how a mix redefines itself as you put it together, this was going to be so many different things before it became what it is now (piano dominant).

What the guys said - though there are some artistes featured here who definitely rank quite high on my personal hate list. :)

...and Tangerine Dream and possibly Coyote Oldman (they're the ones that would be on my hate list). The TD track is there to show how they ripped off Steve Reich's counterpoint style (in fact its direct plagarism from Music for 18 Musicians), it fits the flow and doesn't out stay any welcome. I also put it in to rile Thomas, so mission accomplished :~)I stand by the Vangelis track though - it's excellent - sure he's turned out some dross but occassionally, in the past, he's made some great music.

piano dominant? then I predict that all other mixes will suffer pianist envy.

a great mix, Gary. Like Valis says, a smashing addition to an intriguing and nicely done series.

I'm looking forward to your North African-themed one also.
