Comment:
A Mix CD that travels across the US, from Boston to San Francisco. For a friend who visited Boston from San Francisco. Some explanation:
"T DJ" is about Boston
"This Mess We're In" is about New York
"Rockville" is about Maryland
"Picket Fence" is about R.E.M. "marching through Georgia"
"Augusta," for the purposes of this mix, is from Kentucky.
"This Town" is about Chicago.
I'm aware that I ignored many obvious ones ("Hotel California," anyone?), but I figured this would work best for clarity.
On a side note, there's a severe dearth of good songs about the midwest.
Feedback:
Works for me. Nice.
Songs about the midwest? What about Wilco - Via Chicago? (although you used Hotel Arizona)
Although I love The Reputation... I belive the perfect Chicago song is "City Lights" by Lucky Boys Confusion.
"I can't breathe this midwest air tonight"
"I can't breathe this midwest air tonight"
