Comment:

This is kind of a companion piece to a poem of mine called "Underwater" that's about how desire is like drowning...

Ugh. It's too long! I'll post a little sample (it's one of the few things I've ever written that rhymes):
The water's waiting for her now-

She goes quietly, and sweetly.

It's filling all the hollows of her,

Knowing her completely-

And that's something no one else has ever done.

Sounds like you nailed the feeling in the mix and the poem. Beautiful.

there are some great picks on here...another great song to have included would have been Switchfoot's "Underwater" .. but its already beautiful as it is....love the dbc!

Floating alone, between life and oblivion, what will she choose between heaven and hell?

She has decided, it will be oblivion, drops her head under and life starts to wane.

Drowning her torment, ending her sorrow, crowning achievement?, ending the pain.

I went a different, kinda Plathish, way on the drowning theme and, man, do I suck as a poet!!! LOL Of course, I wrote this in 5 minutes in the midst of a fever, so...

I really like YOUR poem, though. At least what you wanted to share of it. And the mix ain't too bad, either...:)
