Comment:
The "Abort! Abort!" mix was the false start of this, the first of two CDs I'm making for my indie-appreciative friend, Meaghan. Where that mix couldn't get it together between loud/quiet songs, this is pretty much all loud, fast, rolling tunes... a pretty upbeat mix a lot like what I was going for with "Deliberately Deliberating." I borrowed some tricks from other recent mixes (the first and last track are exactly the same on my mix for Carla Berkun, "I'm Sorry and You Know It.") And I tinkered endlessly, especially with the end of the album, finding the right two (or three, at one time) songs to place in between Brendan Benson and Lunchbox's songs. AM/FM, Snow Patrol, Lusk, Incredble Moses Leroy and Elliott Smith were all almost used there... A few of those artists will show up on the forthcoming companion mix of quieter more pensive songs, "Go the Fuck to Sleep."Feedback:
Aside from the E.S.P., everything looks good here.
