During a painfully brief four-year run (1968-72), Creedence Clearwater Revival churned out more bona-fide classics than other "legendary" bands managed over the course of decades. Their greasy stew of rock's roots and fruits, combined with the force of John Fogerty's pen, defined a turbulent time in recent history: check out the Vietnam War protest tracks "Fortunate Son" and "Who'll Stop the Rain", as well as the incredible "Bad Moon Rising", known to many for its mind-blowing use on the soundtrack to [i]An American Werewolf in London[/i].
