Comment:

yes, i know that at first glance this tape may seem weird. :) my mom and i created this mix for my cousin ben's 27th birthday. we wanted to make a tape of stuff that we thought he'd enjoy, and he likes a wide variety of stuff--everyone from fugazi to the misfits to sarah vaughn to r.e.m. my mom picked out some of the songs, and i picked out the rest, and then i mixed it together. it may LOOK strange to sandwich andrea bocelli between sonic youth and billy bragg, but it actually works. it's a very good, VERY eclectic mix. the title of the tape is also the title of a poem by ira cohen, and my cousin likes poetry, so i typed up the poem and used that as the front cover for the tape case.
