Comment:

Whether he's working with old-school heroes or today's top singers/mic slayers, there's no denying the platinum-coated appeal of a Diddy appearance. Or that ghetto-fab swagger of his — a buttery, born-to-be-a-baller flow that's one of the freshest in the game. Take Trina's "Million Dollar Girl," a lavish pop crossover cut that features a heaven-sent Keri Hilson hook, hydraulic beats, and a gentle reminder that Diddy's "richer than all the riches in the world." And then there's the Diana Ross-bumpin' Bad Boy remix of "Cold Rock a Party," one of MC Lyte's biggest hits since her buzz-stirring beginnings back in hip-hop's golden age. But make no mistake: Diddy's capable of killing more than just rap cuts. No matter how you look at it, he transcends genres, from a delirious dancehall remix that features the restless loops of Wyclef Jean and Swizz Beatz (Elephant Man's "Five-O" single, his first for Bad Boy) to an Ibiza-inspired run at rave music. Now if only he'd answer our calls about joining his crew, an extended family that's included everyone from KRS-One and Lil' Kim to LL Cool J and Eminem.
