Comment:

Some of these are outstanding, some of them are just fun, and some of them are...well, nothing to write home about. But I love the Cure and I love covers, so I've got the the Cure covering and being covered. I know I've got two "Lullaby," but i liked them both, and it's interesting to hear them back-to-back.
The Idlewild track ends with the words, "I don't think Robert would be very proud of that." If you know of any covers that Robert WOULD be proud of, let me know.

I remember hearing the Cure covering Gary Glitter's "Do You Want to Touch" in concert about 15 years ago, which seemed very out of character for them. Glo-Worm do a nice twee-like cover of Friday I'm In Love. Cool mix BTW!

afi did the hanging garden (though i'm too much of a cure fan to admit to liking any covers). - the cure's cover of joy division (love will tear us apart) is great though!
