Comment:
This is just a mix I made of Zappa songs that I love...I made it after seeing Project Object in Providence;a Zappa cover band with Ike Willis and Napoleon Murphy Brock as special guests. Anyways, I know these songs don't really cover his whole career (that would be difficult on one cd), but the mix is a lot of fun, and I think it'd be a good introduction for anyone interested in Frank's music :). Comments/suggestions are good.Feedback:
This is an interesting collection. I really like most of this stuff, although I must admit that "Baby Snakes" never did much for me. Feel free to check out my Mothers mix, "The left behinds of the Great Society", and let me know what you think.
Looks excellent. Interesting to see single artist mixes for Frank Zappa and the Fall on the same day -- two of the most prolific artists in recent history.
I actually was looking at your mix earlier today Rob...looks quite good, although I haven't heard too too much early stuff. He's definitely one of my favorite artists; so creative. Oh yea, Baby Snakes is there more for laughs than anything else.
Thanx fer the comments on my mix. This looks really good. I'm not as big a fan of his 70's stuff but you picked out what i do like! (Mostly, the "One Size Fits All" picks...nice!)
This is a good job on a difficult subject. I just saw Project Object too, live here in Saint Loomis and found them inspiring.
