Comment:

The immigrant experience ranks high on Gogol Bordello's lyrical agenda, as you'll divine from a fistful of tracks here including the ska-fuelled "Immigrant Punk", the anthemic "Immigraniada (We Comin' Rougher)" and "Trans-Continental Hustle", which name-checks Bob Marley and Vasco da Gama to offer a sense of the global melting pot: it's the live-wire title track from the band's fifth studio album, produced by Rick Rubin and largely inspired by Hutz's residence in Brazil. Alongside a couple of vintage live GB recordings from 2004, we've included two tracks from [i]J.U.F.[/i], a side-project collaboration with Balkan Beat Box.
