Here, scattered among the throwback cuts, we explore standout tracks from Wilson's 21st-century solo output — 2001 album Go Bongo Go Wild! found the singer/writer/producer stirring up a pot of bluesy, R&B-flavours, and on "The World's Got Everything In It" he rolls with a loose but spicy barroom vibe, while the chucklesome "(I Was On) MTV in the 80s" delivers a dose of strum and twang, country-style. Elsewhere, Nessa Morgan helps Wilson lay bare his soul on the punchy duet "Take Me to the River," and the creamy, steamy "Sexy Girl" is a highlight on 2006's The New Cool, which returned Daddy Cool to the studio after a 34-year layoff.
