Comment:

at the end of november while on holiday i made three mixes. the first was a sloan comp for my friend jim, the second hasn't been given so i ain't posting it yet, this was the third for soda. it started all slow and draggy but that was boring me a few songs in, so i imagined a fresh breeze coming in through a car window in summertime and made this instead.

the first thought for this tape was actually a benedict, fairport convention, nick drake thing. my ma went through a richard thompson phase, so i stole that fairport song from a richard thompson anthology she has.

it's funny, but this mix reminds me more of autumn. the slow decay, the back-to-school feeling of excitement and lamentation, and the bewildering daydreams. would you be interested in trading sometime?
