Comment:
Made a few years back at the height of the cocktail craze, this tape was a bear to transcribe. It was made mostly from borrowed CDs, and most of the songs are instrumentals. Had I known I was going to post it on a website, I would have written everything down at the time. I'm still not sure I got a few of the tunes right, so if someone asks for a copy, you might notice the mistake, or be upset the song you wanted isn't correct. But the feel of decadent lounginess is there. I chickened out on making the crassest tape possible, so a couple of respectable jazz tunes raise the credibility of this mix from where I originally meant for it to rest. Martinis, anyone?P.S. Nothing clears out a room like that Jack Wild tune. His atonal, cockney singing needs to be heard to be believed.
Feedback:
Very good mix. John Coltrane and the Carpenters being on the same tape should probably make the world explode, but in a good way.
Jack Wild is God
Now that I think of it,
most of the folks on this website know what Jack Wild sounds like.
But I digress; it's still pretty unpleasant!
