Comment:

My boss at the video store, Tim, lent me the Nuggets box set to burn, and along with it he lent me three Nuggets promo CDs that came out preceeding the Rhino re-release of the four-disc box set, I believe... and on these three CDs are quite a few tracks that don't appear anywhere in the box set (some don't even quite fit the 65-68 time frame). So Tracks 1-22 are those tracks all in the order that they appear on the promo discs, the tracks that ended up in the box set all edited out, and the final two tracks on the album are just two more songs from around that time period that I love. Now, how long do we have to wait before someone does a "Nuggets For The Nineties?"

This is very bodacious.
While the extra songs fall
a bit outside the narrow
purview of "What constitutes
a Nuggets artist", their inclusion
would have made for a better
collection.

great stuff, have you seen the nuggets 2 box set? Its all artists who aren't American, really good stuff.

I have a friend who owns the second set and he suggested that he might burn it for me over the Christmas break... looking forward to it.

Dude! What the fuck! You KNOW these songs came out before 1991 don't you? ;) Seriously, it's nice to see that you've stumbled upon some cool stuff from the sixties. Nuggets 2 is high atop my Xmas list. The Wherehouse has a used copy for $39 bucks. Is that a good deal people?

Yeah, good price... snap it up. And hey, I never said I can't EVER duck below 1991! I just USUALLY don't! It's an anomoly!

This is a great set. I'm happy to see someone else that is interested in the psychedelic '60s.

I added many of these songs to my minidisc mix of nuggets. Western Union, Just A Little, Gloria, Little Red Book, Time Has Come, and Emitt Rhodes set it off nicely.
