Comment:
2nd mix made for a trade w/ boogichild. This one is kinda like what the title sounds like, cowboy-lounge (Who here thinks AOTM should add either Lounge or Rockabilly to their music category list?). Anyway some songs here are less honky-tonkish than others, particularly the ones by The Detroit Cobras, but they all share the same sound/feel. The last song by SCOTS is a cover of the Bananarama song of the same name.
Feedback:
Can't say I'm familiar with all of these, but it sure looks like fun. Flipsville, dude!
Another winner, Del. I'd love to trade for these, after Christmas, perhaps ?
This mix looks amazing...
Awesome! And of course, the Bananarama songs was a butchering of the Shocking Blue tune.
Looks cool!
awesome , I almost missed this one. Great stuff.
Really digging this one! Just saw the Rev last Saturday again and they played both of these picks. I love the whole Detroit Cobras latest CD but had not heard "midnight blues" so that was a treat. This is just a great mix all around when you are in the mood for loungy rockabilly. Good stuff! Again, really like the kick off song.
