Comment:
A Beatles-esque run to start (who was that tribute band doing 'Free as a Bird' anyway?); some Brit invasion (mind-shredding guitar by J. Page on the Blue Rondos track); coupla '70s covers (remember this Orleans classic?); a little Pavement before we get all lounge-y and exotic. Side two has a long rockabilly/country run leading into a garage-y instro run, more great Page gtr. with heavy friend Lord Sutch; some modern stuff I love (R.E.M. covered the Wire track), Alex Chilton at loose ends as usual; Johnny Thunders' obscure Stones cover (off 'Metamorphosis') makes his Keith-ophilia more obvious than ever; ending with the great lost Stones track that's everything it's cracked up to be. Which, in a way, brings us full circle to the Beatles.Feedback:
Looks awesome!
