so: this is the manifestation of my very awkward crush on this girl. she walks like jazz. she makes me feel funny. we had a conversation about how mix tapes make us all hot and bothered, and from there on i began to plan this tape for her. i'm really happy with it. i gave it to her today (actually, yesterday technically) and now she is probably on an airplane going to various exotic asian countries. it's a weird story. anyway, she has two weeks to digest the tape and then we'll see what happens. to really "get it" i guess you have to know what our relationship is like and what this girl is like. for instance, a song like "cold cold water" doesn't necessarily express my feelings for her, but it reminds me of her and it's something i know she'll dig. The first side is the "I have a big awkward crush on you!" side and the second side is the "but I also have a chill side to me" side. that being said, the tape ends with a "big awkward crush" song, thus completing the cycle (and proving that my suave side never lasts for long). judging by how she reacted to the tape, I think this girl just might like me...
