Comment:
I can't trace where exactly I first picked up on this band... somehow they ended up on my "New Artists to Listen To" list, and when I found some mp3s, "Hey Charlie Hey Chuck" to start out with, I fell in love with them (so has John Peel, turns out). But alas, their label folded before they could release their first album "In Charge of Meats." So, all I could do is collect the mp3s of the first three seven inches (tracks 1-9) and a few other assorted bits ("Poor Prince Neal" comes from a Peel Session). This is a British band with a very Pixies-ish sound. It'd probably appeal to anyone who likes Elephant 6 type band, Northwestern bands like Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie and 764-HERO, or especially anyone into the recent British artists like Alfie, Mull Historical Society and The Delgados. Sadly, the two live track at the end of the album come out distorted when committed to CD, with this strange bubbly electronic sound overpowering the music.Feedback:
very nice... i just downloaded a few of their songs from their site -http://www.bearsuit.co.uk
You can get a few more unique ones from the Bearsuit site on mp3.com, too.
