Every year I get it in my head to do a best of mix but for various reasons I never followed through until now. It is perhaps worth mentioning that many of these were downloaded in mp3 format from legitimate sites, and five of these artists were completely unknown to me before.

okay...i cannot tell a lie (well, i could, but...). i saw sarah fimm on *this* mix and loved the name so much that i had to hear it. i am now addicted, at least to that one track. i need to check out the other artists on here that i haven't heard yet. thanks for expanding my horizons (see, i could have just let you think i was so cool for knowing about sarah fimm too).
