For Christmas I made my mom a 1960's cd set. It's all Top 20 stuff, and completely biased -- they're all of my favourite songs, going in order of their first appearance on the charts. This is the first cd of the set. I am amused by the length of this cd.. 19 songs at under 45 minutes? It's like an indie pop mix!

A very nice gesture Jamie B! I'm sure this will put a smile on your mom's face. Yes, stuff from the early 60s is very similar to today's indie pop. There's nothing better than a two and a half minute song -- verse, chorus, verse, chorus, brief instrumental solo, chorus, fade out -- put a fork in it --it's done.
