English-born, Aussie-raised Lisa Mitchell is living proof that a mid-table finish on Australian Idol can deliver more than the second-tier cachet of a consolation prize. After reaching sixth place on Season Four of the competition, the vastly talented teenager set out her own stall as a folk pop artist, and made a huge impression with her debut EP, Said One to the Other in 2007 — that release topped the iTunes album chart here in Australia, and featured the irresistible piano ballad "Incomplete Lullaby." All roads would lead, via standout single "Neopolitan Dreams," to first studio album Wonder, which features the beguiling and charming "Coin Laundry," the joyous tumbledown delights of "Oh! Hark!," the sideways finger-clicker "Clean White Love," and the breezy acoustic ramble "Red Wine Lips."
