Comment:
Hmmm. There must be a theme here somewhere. I guess there must be 10,000 more songs about telephones. These are the ones I came up with. "All you gotta do is pick up your telephone and dial now." Operators are standing by. Updated the mix 2/11/03 after stumbling across the Etta James track in the bowels of my collection. Couldn't resist batting her leadoff. She displaced Jimmy Buffett (which should make Sean happy -- see his comment below). Goodbye.Feedback:
Great idea! Looks like a fun mix, too.
great idea. i would've added "telephone line," but maybe that's just me. :)
There are wonderful picks here, but I must admit that the Jimmy Buffett song sticks out like a sore thumb - but that's me, not a fan of JB. So many great songs here!
Oh my God! How could you not have
"867-5309 (Jenny)"?
"867-5309 (Jenny)"?
love it...
and i immediately thought of phil collins singin "don't lose my number."

Hmm.., I immediately thought of the Beatles: "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)"...surprised Sean didn't mention "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" by the Dan..! Great idea FO!
Have I ever told you how excellent are think your mixes are in general? Great stuff. I've considered doing this theme myself--"Hanging On The Telephone" by Blondie is the telephone song that usually comes to mind for me.
That is to say, "How excellent I think your mixes are..."
nicely done Steve.
great idea. Hold on, is the phone ringing? lovely pix here.
super idea. great music!
What a fun idea! Good job!
Before Blondie covered Hanging on the Telephone, the Nerves did a great original in about 1979. I found it on mp3 a little while ago. Nice looking mix you obviously did not just phone in.
Excellent Mix, kudos to Sean for bumping the Jummy Buffet track!!
