every single one of these songs is beautiful. trespassers william is amazing, this song is off their debut and is the perfect start to this mix. if you dig the jackson browne track, check out Nico's cover (its on the royal tenenbaums ost), her voice takes it to whole new levels, the afi song is a little out of place, i know, but what can i say? they are my favorite band, and this song just speaks to me. it is the band's slowest song ever recorded, and possibly its most poignant. the kate bush song is a classic, she never seems to get as much credit for influencing today's female vocalists as she should...the angie hart project song is one that it incredibly addictive, it was performed live on a recent episode of buffy the vampire slayer and is just haunting... finally, tom mcrae and sao paulo rain.. the perfect ending - rain ties in to the content of i know (check out the awesome lyrics) and is just fitting for a cd that mellows and soothes and releases everything you've been feeling too scared to say...
