Comment:

this is a tape for 2002, which doesn't necessarily have the best songs or even my favorite songs, since they're usually scattered throughout random other tapes i made during the year. some are mp3s that i have yet to buy the album, since maybe it hasn't been released in the US. and other tracks are just songs that i want to listen to more from albums that made an impact on me in 2002. it was a good year for music, so this was a difficult tape to put together. what else made this difficult to put together was that i was using my parent's turntable, since it's hooked up to a much better sound system than mine. but their turntable is an automatic start, which brings up a wide array of problems when making a mix. i haven't listened to the tape proper since finishing it, but i think it came out alright. any problems though, and i'll wait on edits until i get back to my apartment.

you forgot to include Britney Spears.

Very good, though I'd add Brendan Benson and Metropolitan to the mix. They both released phenomenal 2002 albums.

Ahh, save your money for the children, and all that! Supergrass are amazing. Nice to have the Black Heart Procession on there, amore del tropico was one of my favorite albums last year.

well, this isn't absolutely everything that was gold in 2002. yeah, "lapalco" was a great album and brendan benson was one of my live surprises of the year. there's a lot of good stuff that just didn't make this tape. you can only fit so much in two hours. anyway, i have brendan benson already on a bunch of tapes in my car.
