Comment:

Tom Petty is an ugly man. I laughed when the album cover of Echo pictured him in black and white, at a distance, and blurred. I laughed even more when The Last DJ came out and the cover shot was of the back of his head. But all that just makes me love the man even more. When I saw him perform live, he seemed humbled by the fans' adoration and gracious in a way that beautiful people aren't. These are the songs I am most grateful for, listed in order of original release date. Thank you Tom Petty.

i lost touch with tom petty after 'wildflowers'. but i'm glad to see some tracks from 'she's the one' on here. i really like that stuff.

Very interesting, you skipped nearly all of the obvious tracks. He does seem like a great rock n roll guy. Wildflowers may still be my fave release of his, though I think "Southern Accents' is underrated.

nice mix. I was so amazed when I saw Tom live with the Heartbreakers...everyone in the crowd stood for the whole show, it was a giant love-fest. So much fun.
