Comment:

O'Yes this is it the the day the big 40, yep halfways to 80, it's hard to belive i mean sometimes I feel like that Nomads song 16 forever, esp when I've a couple of drinks ;), and now I sit here forty fookin years. mostly of this stuff i found in my record collection that's why it's a lot of punk songs but hey who want to hear Eric Clapton sing about teenagers or Dave Matthews band (I admit i've never heard them but hate them anyway, they're like Sting for a younger generation) It was hard to find songs about thirteen the first pick was the most obvious, one of my big favs with Big star, i had some thoughts about using Andre Williams "Jailbait" with lyrics like "13, 14, 15, 16 that's jailbait" but as some you know I'm from a week ago teacher for kids age 14-16 and that pick would make me look like some dirty old pervo ;D (but what did you say about that Fat truckers song) also fourteen and fifteen are not that common in rocklyrics, sixteen that's easy (last cut Iggy pop)
It was sad to hear from Swedish costumer service who wouldn't let the amazing The Axis of Evil Knievel into our cold Sweden and therefor the party will be without any band but Me and my brother will spend a long weekend in London, this Friday we will see Eighties matchbox b-line disaster, haven't heard so much of them but the pix looks good, could be great could be phoony and Sunday we will spend at Highbury to see my lovely Arsenal beat West ham with at least 3-0 (2 goals by Henry and 1 from Campbells head) love to ya all and hopefully i'm not the last one to admit that i'm old. And the absolutely last track cut was of course Chuck Berry "Almost grown" , no no not yet maybe when I hit 50. Cheers

A great idea, P, and absolutely brilliant song selection! Next Year I'll be forty too. Maybe we can start a senior-citizens mix club!

Happy Birthday Swede!!! Go rock England! (Too bad about The Axis not being able to attend, I think the past drug busts are keepin' 'em out, I know CASSETTA can't enter Canada either...)

Ah, Mr. Valis, I am free to travel everywhere (even the spaceways) and do frequently. In fact the great country called Canada is a fave spot. Being the crazy fool on ski's that I am. I will be spending some time in the near future in the fine village of Tremblant. The mix would be swell to take over if customs doesn't confiscate it. Happy Birthday P!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PETER! So one of my questions has finally been answered. Have a fun trip to London. And, er, I desperately missed The Sweet's "Teenage Rampage" or T. Rex's "Teenage Dream" here . . . ;)
And to Mike: You BAKE birthday cakes, you don't go out and BUY 'em!

Up the arsenal! do you know the three english teams with swear words in their names? 1. ARSEnal 2. sCUNThorp 3. Manchester FUCKING United! Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY and a great mix!! Enjoy the footy game - I used to support the Hammers, but that was when I was still married, and my ex was a fan. Although, my boyfriend is also a Hammers fan - go figure! 40 is only 2 1/2 years away for me...but I still feel like 18 (what a crock of shite!!)
