Comment:
Here's vol.7, some really obscure things here i guess. The Orient Express was 3 Arabian guys moving to the states when they were kids and they recorded a super-cool album in 1968, they sounds like Kaleidoscope's Taxim on high-speed with vocal and melodica!!!! Brigg is pre-Heavy i guess, Ivory & Reign ghost sounds like Jefferson Airplane, The Majic Ship song is a fav, From New York 1968, very nice Stooges/Motorhead riffs, they actually recorded Neil Young's Down by the river on thefr album! Organ grinders used a Oboe on this track! Once again.....Happy birthday to P the swede today!Feedback:
Another tremendous psych mix my friend. If you got my e-mail, please add this to my selections.
Excellent.
love it.
Great Mix! I'm sure I want this some time...
DJ Hoover: We must trade very soon, very cool story about Mr.Czukay, I must def buy more Can and related records, I only have their 6 first studio albums and their are all AMAZING to me!
Wow, some really odd tracks here - I don't know most of it, but I'd love to hear it all. Especially if it's as good as the previous volumes.
This looks very cool.
i don't know any of the songs here, but it looks fantastic.
Another good 'un, although I always thought that Association track was kinda corny... "I'm a seeker and a knower in a six-man band"... ;-)
The best track Association recorded except Along comes mary, God damned i love the fuzz on Six-man band:-I
Nah. I've always been a sucker for "Never My Love". ;-) So shoot me...
Judy says knock you in the head.....MPS&Lemmy SING: SHOOT YOU IN THE BACK!!!!! No Rob, It's not my fav tune but I can dance to it if you like;-)
Looks fantastic MPS. The Association made some great records back in the day, but unfortunately you can only find them on vinyl (unless you want to mortgage your house for the Japanese import CDs). I'm unfamiliar with pretty much everything on this as well, but I'm sure it's most worthy.
Hey, hey, hey....they just released a 2cd anthology with Association! I think most of their essential material is on the discs...there also a EP collection released right now! Please check them out....they are VERY sweet.
this looks very nice. Great job.
Some wild goodies on here Mike Pike'r! (I'm guessin' that Earth Opera track was from '67.., the only year they won anything...until they met my Cardinals in the World Series, then it was: "the Red Sox LOST"....)Won't join in this Association discussion...., but "Six Man Band"..I'd listen.
i don't know much on here but i'm sure it's as mindblowing as your earlier psyche-mixes, which i still LOVE so much!! uh, and no, i don't know the "trees". maybe we should arrange a trade again soon? great that you included the beau brummels in this mix!!!!!!!!!!! cheers.
Apart from Association, Lord Sitar, Beau Brummels and Earth Opera I don't have a CLUE how this might sound. Well, interesting, I guess . . .
