Comment:

This is a pretty cursory (and somewhat random) treatment of a pretty broad range of music loosely classifiable as psychedelic. It would have made more sense as a 2-cd set -- digging deeper into the Nuggets box sets, touching on early '70's art/prog, and including more recent headphone-friendly guitar buzzing stuff -- but I was really looking for a down-and-dirty back-to-basic treatment of the genre(s). Maybe down the road I'll expand it. (Personally, I think Ion Moe did a far better job of mixing classic & modern psychedelia on his "Old McDonald's Farm" mixes, though those were more Nuggets-esque collections of wonderful obscurities.)

Exhaustive and wonderful, though I think I would have picked a different Rutles track.
