There's nothing like your first basement show or all-ages club gig — a shock to the system on par with, say, getting thrown head first into a tub full of ice water. The final stage of our [i]Punk Rock[/i] Essentials re-creates this circle-pit-stirring, life-changing moment with a steady barrage of sing-along choruses, groove-locked bass lines, buzz-saw guitars, and gut-punching drums. It grabs a hold of every generation that's answered the call of Johnny Rotten, too — from the early days of the Avengers (the teenage riot uprising of "We Are the One") and Agent Orange (the chunky surf guitar groove of "Bloodstains") to unhinged Warped Tour headliners like NOFX and AFI, with the deviant drum-machine jams of Suicide and the stand-up-and-fight anthems of Refused caught somewhere in between.
