one day the generation of kids born under upper middle-class families grew up into their teens.
they were angry, and also mostly weak people. so they vented their anger and tried to make it
menacing and dark, but the spoiled brattiness shone through in the form of weak vocals and
unintelligible though often verbiose lyrics. they fooled nobody, but punk-wannabe girls from
the lower middle-class (and the sexually conflicted boys who strived to be like them). thus, emo was born.
