I've always been pretty interested in Heatmiser, being that it's Elliott Smith's old band, and he's one of my favorites. (Doesn't hurt that Quasi's Sam Coomes is in the band either.) But that interest has yet to transfer to the spending of money on the band's CDs... so instead, with some indulgent downloading, I crafted sort of a best-of Heatmiser, mostly slanted towards the Smith-voxed tracks (although there are a few great Neil Gust-voxed ones in here too). And, who knows, maybe one day I'll actually spend a nickel on this band.
