Comment:
Been trying to come up with a mix for my friend fiona for ages to introduce her to The Frames. I think this one works. It covers the albums pretty evenly, has some live tunes, and even covers the first album. Most importantly, it's got some of the best versions of things on it. Most obvious exclusions are from Dance The Devil... - ie. Perfect Opening Line & Plateau. Also there's many fans of Angel at My Table. But tough luck...Feedback:
I only have "Dance the Devil," which I bought for just a few bucks at Amoeba... and I saw Fitzcarraldo, but I was confused about whether it was the same band, because it was labeled as "The FramesDC." (DC in small letters as if it were a trademark symbol.) Anyway, yeah, I bught it because I liked "Pavement Tune" so much, and yeah, it's a prey good album... oh, I almost forgoI have "Another Love Song" too, I've never listened to that... Anyway, would you say there are albums of theirs better than "Dance the Devil," or is that as good as it gets with them?
